Rob Conner, BBA, MBA, 1LT, TN ARNG

Rob didn’t begin serious training until he was in college at Ole Miss, proof that it’s not how soon you start but how diligent you are. He discovered CrossFit in early 2007 and has become totally dedicated to the training regime it offers.

A participant in numerous ultra distance running events, distance running is his passion. He also enjoys competing in triathlons, is an avid mountain biker and has taken up rock climbing.

A First Lieutenant in the Tennessee Army National Guard, Rob has been recognized for outstanding performance in physical training, marksmanship and leadership on numerous occasions, including being the top ranked male in Army Physical Fitness Tests in a recent Army physical fitness test with a score of 352 out of 300.

A story on Rob’s achievements in ultra marathons was featured in the Army National Guard magazine Hoohah. Rob described CrossFit training this way in the magazine. “We (CrossFit) don’t focus on who can lift what or how much weight you can curl with your biceps….We train you to be strong for real world situations—a concept that’s important to me as a Soldier.” His achievements have also been featured in Kappa Alpha Order fraternity’s national magazine.
